Michael Quinn
Michael Quinn has appeared as an organ recitalist in the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom, and as a concerto soloist with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. With the new music group Dublin Sound Lab, which he co-founded with Fergal Dowling, Michael has performed in Paris, Bucharest and Dublin, presenting many Irish and world premières. Dublin Sound Lab held a festival of new electroacoustic music featuring Irish and international composers, ‘Music Current 2016’, at Smock Alley Theatre earlier this year, supported by the Arts Council.
Michael Quinn studied piano with Deirdre Doyle and organ with David Lee at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, continuing his organ studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Jos van der Kooy. He is a music graduate of Trinity College Dublin and King’s College London. Michael is organist of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook, and runs Rathdown Music School in Glenageary.
